Meet Our Staff
We have a fantastic team at Collingwood Road Surgery who work effectively together alongside the Billericay PCN as well as the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board. This includes, but is not limited to, pharmacists, nurses, GPs, physiotherapists, mental health practitioners, social prescribers, GP assistants, various admin staff members and medical students.

Nurses
Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.​

Practice Management
Mrs Amy Lockwood
The Practice Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

The Reception Manager is involved in overseeing and managing the reception area and staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This includes supervising reception staff, maintaining a welcoming environment, managing appointments, and handling administrative tasks, as well as handling general enquiries and complaints.
Practice Staff
We have 2 GPs, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Triage Nurse, 1 HCA, 4 GP Assistants, 2 Secretaries, 1 Practice Manager, 1 Reception Manager and 4 receptionists.

We also have other staff members who are employed via the Primary Care Network (PCN) eg. Physiotherapist, Pharmacists etc
Our other on-site practitioners
Community Nurses
The community nurse visits housebound and cancer patients for dressing changes and vaccinations. Although they're not on-site we work closely together to ensure patients are seen.
Physiotherapy
Our in house Physio Natasha offers face to face appointments or advice over the phone.
Practice Nurse
The nurse will administer vaccinations, administers children vaccinations, conducts cervical screenings and provides diabetic foot checks.

Community Midwives
The midwife holds an antenatal clinic here and antenatal care is shared between her, the GP’s and the hospital obstetric team. The midwife visits mother and baby at home following discharge from the hospital.
Community Pharmacist
The pharmacist reviews long-term medication, SMR Reviews, Asthma Clinics and COPD reviews.
